OmNom
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Types LLC, doing business as OmNom ("OmNom," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use our platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Platform"). This policy applies to all users of OmNom, including customers, restaurant owners, and affiliates.
By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information depending on how you use OmNom:
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: Name, email address, phone number, and password when you create an account.
- Order information: Delivery or pickup address, order details, and special instructions (customers).
- SMS consent information: Phone numbers, message preferences, and opt-in or opt-out status for transactional order alerts and order-status updates.
- Payment information: Payment card details and billing address. Payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe — OmNom does not store your full card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment data.
- Business information: Restaurant name, business address, tax identification numbers, and banking information (restaurant owners, processed through Stripe Connect).
- Affiliate information: Name, contact information, tax identification (for 1099 reporting), and payment details for commission payouts (affiliates).
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on the Platform, and referring URLs.
- Cookies: We use essential cookies to maintain your session and keep you logged in. With your permission, our marketing website also uses Google Analytics cookies to understand visits and app-download link clicks. See Section 9 for details and choices.
1.3 Optional Food Truck Location
In OmNom for Restaurants, food truck operators can choose to use their device's location to set a pickup location. If you grant location permission and choose this option, we collect your latitude, longitude, reported accuracy, and capture time while you use the feature. Your device may provide precise or approximate location depending on your permission settings. We send this information to our server to check its accuracy and resolve an address before you confirm the pickup location. If the location is not accurate enough, you can try again or enter an address manually.
Location access is optional. You can enter your pickup address manually and can deny or revoke location permission in your device settings. This food truck feature does not continuously track your movements or collect location in the background.
When you confirm a pickup location, we save the coordinates, address, service date, and confirmation details with your restaurant and the account that confirmed it. The confirmed pickup location is shown to customers so they can find your food truck. We use location information to operate pickup and related ordering features, not for advertising or cross-app tracking.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
- Providing the service: Processing orders, connecting customers with restaurants, facilitating payments, and managing accounts.
- Communication: Sending order confirmations, transactional SMS or phone alerts, order-status updates, account notifications, and responding to support inquiries.
- Payment processing: Facilitating transactions through Stripe, including platform fee collection and affiliate commission payments.
- Platform improvement: Understanding how the Platform is used so we can improve features and performance.
- Legal compliance: Meeting legal obligations, including tax reporting (1099 forms for affiliates) and responding to lawful requests.
- Safety and security: Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to the Platform.
3. How We Share Your Information
OmNom shares your personal information only in the following limited circumstances:
3.1 With Stripe
We share payment-related information with Stripe, Inc. for the purpose of processing transactions. Stripe's use of your data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy. OmNom does not control Stripe's data practices.
3.2 With Restaurants (Customer Orders)
When you place an order, the restaurant receives the information necessary to fulfill it, including your name, order details, and pickup or delivery information. The restaurant's use of your information is governed by their own privacy practices.
3.3 With Affiliates
We do not share customer or restaurant owner personal information with affiliates. Affiliates receive only aggregated, non-identifying commission data related to their referrals.
3.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
3.5 Website Analytics
With your permission, the OmNom marketing website uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits, referral sources, campaign tags, and clicks to the OmNom for Restaurants listings on the App Store and Google Play. Google receives browser and device information and analytics cookie identifiers when analytics is enabled. We do not send account information, form entries, assistant conversations, referral codes, or arbitrary URL query parameters through this integration. App-store link clicks do not establish that an app was installed.
The Google tag loads after you select "Accept." Select "Manage" and then "Reject analytics" to keep Google Analytics off without changing anonymous site statistics. You can change either choice using "Analytics choices" on the website. A browser Global Privacy Control signal keeps both systems off. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled in this website integration. See Google's Privacy Policy for Google's data practices.
We also collect aggregate first-party site statistics by default to improve our website and content. These record daily totals for canonical pages, visible section headings, scroll-depth milestones, engaged page views, navigation links and app-store clicks, with coarse referral categories such as search, AI platforms or social sites. This system uses no analytics cookies, persistent visitor IDs or fingerprinting, and does not link website activity to accounts or installed apps. Browser signals and known crawler user agents help distinguish likely human activity from automation; this is an estimate, not proof that a person visited.
Our statistics dataset contains daily counters only, not individual event histories, IP addresses, raw user agents, full referrer URLs, query parameters, form entries or chat content. Hosting infrastructure may process request information for service delivery and abuse prevention separately. Select "Turn off site statistics" under "Manage" or "Analytics choices" to object without changing your Google Analytics choice. Existing rejections are respected. Opting out stops future collection; already aggregated totals cannot be associated with you or individually removed. Your browser stores only the preference needed to remember your choice. Blocking scripts or declining measurement means some activity will not appear in our totals. App-store clicks are not confirmed downloads.
3.6 Business Transfers
If OmNom is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership.
We do not sell your personal information. OmNom does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for advertising, marketing, or any other commercial purpose.
Mobile information is not shared for marketing. OmNom does not share mobile phone numbers, SMS consent records, or text messaging opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
3.7 Mobile Messaging
When you provide a mobile phone number through an OmNom ordering or restaurant-management flow, you may consent to receive transactional text messages from OmNom. Customer messages may include order confirmation, pickup readiness, delivery progress, cancellation, receipt, and tracking updates. Restaurant-owner messages may include new-order and order-management alerts. OmNom does not send marketing or promotional messages through these transactional messaging programs.
- Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on customer order activity or, for restaurant owners, restaurant order volume and order-management activity.
- Carrier charges: Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt-out: Reply STOP to opt out of text messages. After opting out, you may reply START to opt back in.
- Help: Reply HELP for help or contact support@omnom.monster.
- Mobile-data protection: Mobile phone numbers, SMS consent records, and opt-in data are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may disclose information to messaging service providers only as necessary to deliver the messages you requested or as required by law.
For screenshots and a step-by-step description of where consent is collected, see the OmNom SMS Opt-In Process.
3.7 Food Truck Pickup Locations and Geocoding
When you choose device location, we send accepted coordinates to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service to obtain a readable address. This happens when resolving the location, before you confirm publication. Manually entered pickup addresses may also be sent to geocoding providers to obtain coordinates. Once you confirm a pickup location, its address and coordinates are made available to customers through your restaurant's ordering experience.
3.8 Optional App Measurement
In the OmNom for Restaurants mobile app, you can choose whether to allow Google Analytics for Firebase and Google Ads to measure app installations, basic app usage and completed owner signups. Collection is disabled until you select "Allow measurement." Google receives pseudonymous app-instance identifiers, device and operating-system information, timestamps and measurement events. We do not send your OmNom user ID, email address, restaurant details, order information, form contents or authentication links through this integration. Advertising identifiers (IDFA and Android advertising ID), automatic screen names and advertising personalization are disabled. Measurement may still use pseudonymous app-instance information for ad attribution.
Select "Continue without measurement" to use the app without this optional collection. You can change or withdraw your choice under Settings > Ad measurement. Withdrawal stops future collection and resets the local Analytics data; it does not erase data already sent to Google. Reporting is aggregated and may be modeled or incomplete when people decline measurement. An app-store link click is not an installation, and a first-open event indicates the app was launched after installation.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Specifically:
- Active accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
- Food truck locations: Confirmed pickup locations and their history are stored with the restaurant and confirming account to support ordering and maintain a record of pickup-location changes. They are subject to the retention and deletion practices described in this policy. Revoking device permission stops future device-location access but does not automatically delete previously confirmed locations.
- After account closure: We may retain certain data for up to three (3) years after account closure for legal, tax, and compliance purposes (e.g., transaction records, tax forms).
- Anonymized data: We may retain anonymized, non-identifiable data indefinitely for analytics and platform improvement.
You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).
5. Data Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL.
- Secure storage of account credentials using industry-standard hashing.
- Access controls limiting who within OmNom can access personal data.
- Regular review of our security practices.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
6. Children's Privacy
OmNom does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to OmNom without your consent, please contact us at support@omnom.monster. We will promptly delete such information from our records.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Opt-out: Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@omnom.monster. We will respond to your request within thirty (30) days.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with additional rights:
- Right to know: You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you.
- Right to delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to opt-out of sale: OmNom does not sell personal information. If this changes, we will provide a "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link.
- Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
To submit a CCPA request, email us at support@omnom.monster with the subject line "CCPA Request." We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
Categories of Information Collected (CCPA Disclosure)
In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers: Name, email address, phone number, IP address.
- Commercial information: Order history, transaction records.
- Financial information: Payment card details (processed by Stripe), banking information (restaurant owners and affiliates, processed by Stripe).
- Internet activity: Browsing history on the Platform, device information.
- Geolocation: Precise or approximate device location when you choose the food truck location feature, and confirmed pickup addresses and coordinates.
9. Cookies & Tracking
OmNom uses a minimal set of cookies:
- Essential cookies: Required for the Platform to function, including session management and authentication. These cannot be disabled.
- Preference storage: Remembers your settings and choices, including your website analytics choice in local storage.
- Optional analytics cookies: Google Analytics cookies on the marketing website measure visits and app-store link clicks only after you allow analytics. Declining analytics does not affect website access. Changing your choice to decline stops this integration and removes its Google Analytics cookies from the marketing website.
This website analytics integration does not enable advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, Google Signals, or advertising personalization. We do not sell analytics data to advertisers.
Most browsers allow you to manage cookie settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using certain features of the Platform.
10. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as Stripe or restaurant websites). OmNom is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and may notify you through the Platform or via email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
