An owner tells you their restaurant has joined OmNom, but your referral does not look right. Perhaps the restaurant is missing from your view, the progress shown seems unchanged, or you expected earnings and see none.
Start by identifying which detail needs checking. Recreating the restaurant or asking the owner to sign up again can complicate the question. A useful support request explains the introduction, what the owner says happened, and what your app actually shows.
Here is a practical sequence for investigating an OmNom referral that is not showing as expected, including an owner who signed up without your personal link.
1. Describe the mismatch before trying to fix it
Open the existing referral in the app, if you can find it. OmNom's referral-progress FAQ says this is where you can see its current status and earnings. Copy the wording you see, and note when you checked.
Choose the question that matches your situation:
- The referral cannot be found: Which restaurant and location were you expecting to see?
- The progress seems wrong: What does your app say, and what has the owner told you they completed?
- The owner joined without your link: How did they reach OmNom, and when did you make the introduction?
- The referral is visible, but earnings are the concern: Which displayed amount or entry needs explaining?
These are ways to describe your issue, not names of app statuses. Avoid replacing the actual screen wording with a label you think it should have.
Creating a draft or sharing a link does not start rewards. The restaurant must go live and receive eligible orders. An owner saying “I joined” does not tell you whether those steps happened. If the referral appears correctly and the concern is a payment, state that separately so support knows what to investigate.
2. Confirm the restaurant and the route the owner used
Check the restaurant name, location, and contact number against the details you originally entered. This is especially helpful when a business has more than one location or uses different names publicly.
Ask the owner a short, factual question: “Did you open the personal invitation I sent, or did you start from somewhere else?” Accept “I don't remember” as useful information. Do not turn an uncertain answer into a confirmed link click.
OmNom uses contact details to detect existing referrals. Its contact-number guidance says to use an accurate restaurant number and check it with the owner. If you find a typo, report the original entry and the correct detail; do not substitute another number to get around a duplicate warning.
Keep the check limited to information needed to identify the restaurant and explain the referral. You do not need the owner's sign-in code, identity documents, or bank information.
3. Treat a missed link or duplicate as a review question
If the owner signed up without your link, contact support for an attribution review. Attribution means which introduction receives referral credit. OmNom may consider credit, but the result depends on timing and order volume and is not guaranteed.
The same careful approach applies when two partners believe they made the introduction. Support can review what happened; neither person is guaranteed credit. Explain your own involvement and any overlapping introduction you actually know about. Avoid accusations or assumptions about the other person's conduct.
The current FAQ also says that already-live restaurants and duplicate leads do not receive automatic attribution. Do not create another draft to bypass a warning. Leave the existing information intact while you ask what needs correcting, rather than trying a different restaurant name, number, or account.
A prepared draft can be edited only before the owner claims it. After the claim, the owner controls setup. A missing-credit question does not give a partner owner or payment access.
4. Assemble a small, reliable record
Use the messages and app details you already have. Record the date you discussed OmNom, when you shared your personal link, and what the owner later reported. Mark approximate dates as approximate and missing details as unknown.
A message containing the invitation can show when you sent it. It does not, by itself, show that the owner used it. Likewise, a restaurant's public ordering page does not explain how referral credit was assigned. Separate your observations from your conclusions.
If a screenshot helps, crop it to the relevant status or error and remove unrelated conversations and personal information. Keep passwords, sign-in codes, bank details, tax identifiers, and identity documents out of the request. Sensitive setup information belongs in the appropriate secure form, not in a troubleshooting email.
Hypothetical example: the owner found OmNom separately
A partner discussed OmNom with a café owner and, with permission, prepared a referral. The partner then sent the personal invitation. Later, the owner said they had searched for OmNom and started setup from the website. The partner's referral view did not match what the owner described.
The useful next step is to record that sequence and ask support to review the existing records. The partner should say that link use is unconfirmed and include the exact status shown. Creating a second café draft would not answer the original question. The example ends with a review request, without assuming that credit will be granted.
5. Send one clear support request
Email OmNom support at support@omnom.monster. This fill-in checklist is a suggested way to organize your message, not a required OmNom form:
- Subject: Referral review for [restaurant and location]
- My OmNom account email: [your email]
- Restaurant details: [name, location, and restaurant contact number used]
- What needs review: [missing referral, unexpected progress, missed personal link, or specific earnings question]
- What my app shows: [exact wording and date checked; say if no referral is visible]
- Introduction history: [dates discussed and link shared; mark estimates]
- What the owner reported: [their description of signup or setup; keep unknowns clear]
- Relevant reference: [personal referral link or existing reference, if available; never a sign-in link or code]
- My question: Please review whether this introduction is associated with the correct restaurant and tell me whether you need any further non-sensitive information
Remove fields you cannot answer rather than inventing details. If you already contacted support, include that context and the new information so the sequence stays understandable.
OmNom does not promise a support response time. Keep the request factual, preserve the original referral, and wait for the review before describing credit as confirmed. A clear account of what happened gives support a useful starting point and keeps the owner out of unnecessary repeat setup.
